Title Assistant
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for answering calls and emails from clients and notaries and resolving issues with orders from title clearance, closing, disbursements and policies and procedures. High level of client contact, sensitivity and resolution with a positive attitude. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer and provide a resolution to a high volume of emails and phone calls.
- Review and provide instruction to customers on matter shown on a title commitment
- Work with available resources to resolve any title and closing related issues.
- Communicate issues to different internal departments to resolve customer issues.
- Provide accurate and timely communication of all updates, details, etc. to all parties involved in a transaction.
- Resolve problems regarding title delays, closing delays, disbursement delays.
- Perform data entry into multiple technology platforms.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
BACKGROUND PROFILE : Title Assistant (mortgage / escrow)
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge and ability to read and fully understand the title commitment and closing disclosure (“CD”).
- Extensive title and closing knowledge
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Etc.)
- Ability to make decisions that have impact on the immediate work unit
- Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology
- Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule on short and long-term basis to meet deadlines and timelines.
- Experience with SoftPro is a plus
